The Caffè River Training Centre in Arezzo was qualified as Punto di Formazione Permanente (Points of Ongoing Formation) released from Istituto Internazionale Assaggiatori Caffè (Iiac - International Institute of Coffee Tasters).
The Institute is a non-profit association that lives only on membership fees paid by its members.
Its objective is to study and disseminate scientific methods for the sensorial evaluation of coffee.
It has always focused on the Espresso, a symbol of Made in Italy, developing a specific tasting method. Since its foundation in 1993, the International Institute of Coffee Tasters has played hundreds of courses called Espresso Italiano Tasting, attended by more than 7,500 coffee professionals from 43 countries of the world. In 1999 it was set up the course Italian Espresso Specialist, for certification of professionals working in bars that have Certified Italian Espresso. Six years later, the International Institute of Coffee Tasters has launched the Professional Master of Coffee Science and Sensory Analysis.
His research is supported by a high-level scientific committee, and the Espresso Italiano Tasting is available in Italian, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai.
Caffè River Training Centre can therefore accommodate the courses to achieve the Coffee Tasting Diploma issued by the IIAC, in particular the course of taster license Espresso Italiano Tasting.
